In 2011, Patrick Stratton broke into the electronic music scene with a series of viral bootlegs and a release on Skrillex's OWSLA Records. The Chicago based composer, producer, and DJ, who had formal training in jazz and classical guitar, went on to spend 13 years producing dance music and touring North America as Stratus. During that time, he brought his sound to some of North America's most iconic stages, including Lollapalooza, EDC Las Vegas, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, while releasing music on respected labels like Ultra Records, Circus Records, and Subcarbon Records. His work earned support from heavyweight artists including Excision, Ganja White Night, Liquid Stranger, Kayzo, Sullivan King, Boogie T, and Rusko.
Today, Patrick composes music across a diverse spectrum of genres and styles for visual media, from high energy dance tracks to cinematic trailer cues. His recent work includes composing for Epic Games' blockbuster titles Fortnite and Rocket League, alongside projects for major brands and networks like Netflix, HBO, Paramount, Samsung, and Toyota. Whether scoring for games, film, or advertising, Patrick's approach remains the same: crafting expressive and powerful music that reinforces the heart of every story, regardless of medium or scale.
